MY CREDITIALS

As a fully qualified teacher and lecturer, with a distinction award, I bring my experience of teaching in outstanding independent, comprehensive and further education schools, using an array of resources and my personal development into my classes.

I have exceptional qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE (Distinction), BSc (Hons), NVQ Speech and Language & Enhanced DBS checked.
Ample experience and success in teaching Science to Key stage 3, entrance exams and GCSE students.
I have taught 3000+ hours to 2000+ students in both schools and tuition lessons.
I have knowledge in teaching AQA, Edexcel, Edexcel iGCSE & OCR examination boards.
Additionally, I am dedicated to learning and personal development – I am currently studying a Diploma in Personal Performance Coaching.

MY STORY

"I find these times to be particularly alarming as a qualified and highly experienced teacher and tutor who is passionate about promoting learning. With children having been in and out of education, they have lost the momentum and knowledge that they will need to progress through school, to sixth form, college and university.

In my experience there is a considerable amount of science content to learn, furthermore, it is a struggle within the academic year to cover all the topics before the GCSE exams. With this current situation, teaching will most likely be rushed and not taught to the depth required. This may lead to the current Year 9 & 10 students being at an unfair disadvantage when sitting their GCSE exams.

My purpose is to improve the grades and confidence of my students close this dividing gap between the level of educational support being provided and allow my students to progress with the science curriculum without falling behind. I am offering virtual 1:1 lessons with my students to guide them to achieve what they deserve to achieve."

Over the past few months, I have noticed a greater division in the quality of educational support from schools during this crisis. Although these are difficult times, some schools are managing better than others. These schools have provided high-quality online teaching lessons every day from the start of lockdown with homework and assessments. Whereas others are only able to provide basic worksheets with minimal active online teaching. The quality of support that is being provided by schools has been vastly diverse.
